Installation
Voxelier is a single portable executable: no installer, no account.
Windows
Download Voxelier.exe and run it. You can keep it anywhere you like.
- Updates — at launch, Voxelier checks for a new version and offers to install it. Every update is verified (SHA-256 and signature) before it replaces the executable.
- Data — in
%APPDATA%\Voxelier.
Linux
Requirements: x86_64, glibc 2.35 or newer (Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12, Fedora 36 and later), and a GPU driver with Vulkan support (Mesa or the NVIDIA proprietary driver).
Extract the archive and run Voxelier:
tar xzf voxelier-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
cd Voxelier
./voxelier
To add Voxelier to your applications menu, run ./install.sh from the same
folder. The executable stays where you extracted it: if you move the folder,
run ./install.sh again.
- Updates — same as on Windows. Keep the
Voxelierfolder somewhere you can write to (your home folder, for example), not in/optor/usr, so the update can replace the executable. - Data —
~/.local/share/Voxelier(or$XDG_DATA_HOME/Voxelier).
